I'm going to test drive a lancer ralliart today, v excited

Dealer has offered £4,125 trade in for my 159. 56 reg lusso, 88k miles, FSH, 12 month MOT, good condition, sound reasonable?

PS, passed it's MOT last week. But tester said there was some blue smoke coming out of exhaust, trade it in ASAP :wow: Any ideas why?

There is a HUGE mickey take going on with part ex's at the moment. Maybe the government should take note as I am sure they would like everyone in smaller engined cars yet I am being offered ridiculous part ex offers for my 3.2

That seems incredibly low to me

Edit: Just checked autotrader and there isn't a single 159 nationally going for that price (i know it's a trade in price, but that seems like a 'we buy any car' type offer)

I think a fair few traders use 'we buy any car' as a guide. Idiots!!! I know for a fact one I phoned recently was using parkers 'free' whats it worth guide

dealer offered me 10.5k for my 2008 1.9jtdm sportwagon with 70k
Not bad at all!!!

I was offered £5k ish for my 06 159 2.4 lusso sub 70k miles - fully specced with every possible extra you could imagine. The dealer offered even less "because no one will buy a car with 70k miles". All the indies I went to seemed to go onto autotrader (choose highest price first on the filter) and show me the first two examples. Pretty poor. When I pointed to a similar miles car on his forecourt going for just under £13k he told me that's because it's a Ti. Didn't think the Ti badge would add 8k onto a similar age/spec car?

Phil-gtv you win the prize!

I asked for £5k trade in, they came back with £4.5 and we shook hands at £4,750 with 2 years servicing thrown in, which I was pleased with.

Sadly this means I only have 6 days of Alfa ownership left - just hope the 159 makes it to next Saturday
