Since my car insurance doesn't cover while on track, While I'm on track the miles I'll cover will come off my limited mileage on my policy.

Having a think I came up with making a binnacle that I could fit in the pits within a few minutes and give me the details I'll need the most.

So thought tachometer is the most obvious, then Alternator and oil pressure light.

Since I have to indicate to allow faster cars past I thought indicator warning lights too.

I've jigsawed a piece of aluminium to the same shape as the original binnacle and cut out the tachometer also, with a few placed holes and a cut out at the bottom for the boost controller.

Using LEDs for my warning lights I had to solder on a 1K resistor to prevent the LED burning out.

After soldering on the resistors I covered them with heatshrink.

Then I started installing all the components into the sheet of alu then soldering and finishing the wiring.

Finished article.

I installed extra connectors to the car's wiring behind the binnacle so I can simply plug and play, I couldn't take pics as it was too dark, but here's it installed and tested, seems to be working :D

I like what you've done, nice and simple, but wouldn't have disabling the speedo signal have been even simpler?
