Replace the lower wishbone balljoint boots.

Nicked both of them doing the bearings a month or two back....the MOT is booked for Friday.

Wish me luck.

Where did you get the boot from?
I could do with one
Ball Joint Boots

Well, didn't start too well. Had a bit of a sleep, working nights this week, and...... my balljoint splitter, erm split at the second whack of the hammer.

Just sent my neighbour out for a replacement.

Good job the weather's nice and England are doing well in the Ashes.

All done, satifying job

Auto part Vehicle brake Drive shaft Wheel Brake
Auto part Suspension Suspension part

Tricky getting the top securing ring on. Bottom is easy, just put it onto the boot first then slide it on to the balljoint.

Top one was another matter, finally had a brainwave, I had an old piece of plastic waste pipe just about the right size to slide the clip over, place it over the boot then gently ease it off the pipe and onto the boot.

Time for a bath and listen to TMS, should be declaring soon.
