Just seen on their website and FB that Gerry had decided to retire, hence TI Autos will be closing on June 26th.

His expertise and gentlemanly manner will be a big loss to the Alfa community.

Wishing him and the family all the joy of a happy, long and well deserved retirement.

..really sad to see it go, and it was definitely a big part of the charm of having an Alfa, but as you say a well deserved retirement. Best of luck to all concerned for the future :)

Picked a good time to retire I'd say, given everything going on at the moment. Hope he has a long & happy retirement. I've never been a customer of his but have spoken to him plenty of times on the phone and he's always seemed like a really knowledgable guy. When you're selling Alfa parts to other specialists you really get a feel for who knows their stuff and who doesn't.

Do you know if anyone is taking over his workshop and keeping on going with Alfas?

A huge loss to the Alfa community for sure. I've been going to TI since 2008. The lads always had time for a chat and explained the work that was carried out in minute detail.

I really wish Gerry the very best in his retirement.

My understanding is that the business is closing down completely.
I started going there with my first Alfasud in 1991
Absolute gentleman...

Agree with all of the above. So sorry to hear but not surprised. Like Mufasa I first went to Gerry with my first Alfasud. It was in the early eighties not long after Gerry had started the business. His dad and brother were also involved then. More recently of course his sons worked with him from time to time. So I can say that I had the honour of three generations of Campbell's working their magic on my various Alfa's over the years (and Lord knows some of those cars needed magic to keep them going!).

I wish Gerry and Gina a long, happy and well deserved retirement.

They just got a big shout out on RTE Radio 1! First time I've heard Alfa mentioned on the radio incidentally.

Was in with Gerry before they closed for a service and to wish him well. Gerry recommended David in Pascal Kennedy in Dun Laoghaire to me so thats gospel in my book!!
