Hi. I am a newbie here, and it was actually a car mechanic that signposted me! After 6 faultless years of Mito Veloce driving, I have had two broken suspension coils recently, that literally snapped in two, and now I have a rolling, rumbling thudding noise when I move the steering wheel on pulling slowly away. The said mechanic has checked everything, and hasn't a clue what it is. Any ideas?

I had a clunking sound when turning left/right at low speeds. They replaced the rubber on the struts.

Do you get a metal grinding/clunking noise when turning full lock to lock when stationary? If so it's the top mounts.

Surprised they've lasted this long tbh!

Many thanks. You were all spot on!! It IS the suspension top mounts! Two visits this week, one to have new calipers put on, and then tomorrow for struts to be replaced. Living in rural Dorset/Somerset is taking it's toll, love my car but not sure it is right for these lumpy, bumpy, wet and soggy roads!
