I come home to drive the 156 as it stays at home while I work up the country. So it is literally a treat to drive it when I come home. I haven't driven the car in over 2 weeks now complete diaster. And it's annoying me. I don't want to drive it with the salt and crap on the roads due to it being absolutely mint underneath and I just spent a small fortune getting the bumpers painted and cleaning up the body work on the car. But the complete crap on the road and the fact it is my car own car if I lash it off something has stopped me driving it but it's wrecking my head.

Or am I the only one who does this lol.

I don't really mind driving in this weather, because I have to, not that I want to. After this weather improves, she is going to get treated properply. Just out of curiosity, how much did you spent on sorting the bodywork ?

It would be driven if I didn't have the company yoke to drive like. But still annoying. I spent 500 euro on getting the bumpers painted they mint now. Perfect like. So that's why I don't really all the **** and grit slapping off the car.

And also the fact it is clean underneath I don't really want to ruin it. And all the bodywork was detailed by meself and another lad in the summer so that will be ruined otherwise.

Not all of us have a 2nd vehicle unfortunately  so we have to use our Alfas if we want to go anywhere :( Your lucky to have the option not to use the Alfa

Roads aren't too bad around here anyway & I don't need to do much driving & anywhere I need to go is on the main treated roads

PS Most of January is also meant to be very cold

I know, I heard that Jan is meant to be useless too. Ohh I know I'm lucky but still annoying that the roads are in bits etc. I think in the new year I will do some proper undersealing on the car.

The roads here are in **** to be honest drove the van to home yesterday and it was black.

Just wait until there is a proper thaw & some rain, the roads are already starting to break up now, they'll be in bits then. Pothole dodging then for ages no doubt

we've not been too bad. we live down a small back road & while the main roads are ok, just ok, our little road is basically ice! There is no grip anywhere, just slowing down to get into the drive is "tricky".

its actually miles better in cork that Dub Damo as you've probebly found out. Was down there earlier this week. Went to Carrigaline, Mahon Point, Wilton, UCC and through the city. The road to Carrigaline was in rough shape otherwise there didnt seem to be much grit or ice, the roads seemed clean and ice free, different ballgame up here

true enough, stick with the Alfa kitkat for now. I'm using the Kia, wouldnt dream of taking out the 155 until we have had a big dump of rain to wash all the salt away
