I have these on my car, I had quite a lot of trouble with one of the pipes, it was too short, although to be fair the guy who owns the site was v helpfull and got it sorted by basically getting my pipe picked up and copied at his supplier....Catalytic Converters From BM Catalysts |....... I then had issues with one of the pipes resonating on the flexi section when coming down the revs at about 4000 rpm..... it was so annoying i phoned them back and again they replaced it no quibbles & excellent service (although I had to pay for re-fitting)... I believe the problem was that the mesh on the flexi section was too slack when manufactured. I reckon it gets even slacker as time goes on with constant heating and cooling of the mesh and this is the problem with copied parts...... basically you get what you pay for and I'll be buying the alfaholics downpipes next as I can still hear a slight resonance sometimes but nothing which will do you head in. Hope this helps.

They also offer a FIA approved race cat but it is not 100% clear if that is just the cat or the cat with the connectors on it.
if you get a 2 year warranty on the products and they have proven to honer then would say that is fairly good, & better than a fair few companies out there!

But at the end of the day when one of my down pipes go next i will get a set of equal length ones :)

I have equal length front pipes on my GTV V6 and thats what I'd recommend as well, they are brilliant, help improve low end torque.

I'm not sure what we're doing for the GTV V6, we have a full system available both twin exit ( -oo------ ) and quad exit ( -oo---oo- ) either unsilenced or with a small silencer on the centre section. But I don't think we're going to build front pipes, I have Alfatune front pipes on mine at the moment and they are fine, decent fit & finish etc. Probably not worth designing our own, although we have done some for the GTA and 156 V6.

.......do they hang lower than std?

Clive
Yes, but I've had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever on my GTV, including reversing up my inclined driveway which also has no dropped curb. They seem to be better designed than equal length front pipes I've seen for GTAs.

Cheers but...

.........I have to go down a bridlepath, which is higher in the middle, to access the garage at the rear....so probably not a good idea on a lowered GTV?

That would be their downfall, there is about 1 fist's worth of clearance, I've just put my arm under the car to try and gauge it. But that is not level ground, that is on my driveway which is higher at the back of the car than the front by a fair bit, so perhaps the front suspension is sitting lower than it would on level ground.

Front driveway or side exit?

Thanks for checking.

Perhaps Wizard could make me some side exits...like a Dodge Viper or AC Cobra.:)

i have the autobits front pipes and i had no problems at all. I think they are a steal at the price. very quick delivery too and the guy was very helpful. They have been on 1 1/2 years now. 409 is ok for front pipes. It wont rust but it will get dull.
