Hello. Whilst having my wheels balanced at the weekend got told that my two front multispokes (17") were buckled (don't know about the rears) so debating whether to replace like for like OR replace all four wheels with these

7x17. Silver 7 hole wheels. for Alfa Romeo GT parts and spares

They look like the 159/Brera ones but the PCD looks right for the GT and it would look silly with two shiny new ones and two really old ones , obviously a bit of a cost involved with the latter but can always get a bit of cash back by selling the old ones .

So, looking for general opinions please on best course of action and what people think about the horseshoe's on the GT to aid my decision? Can't seem to find any photos of a GT with them and my imagination isn't quite what it used to be but they do look good on the 159/Brera

I hate those. Not sure why but I think they are the worst alloy after the 15" pepper pot on the 156 and the 17" supersports. Multis are  When you said horse shoe i though they were going to be an 8C replica. Now they are  It's your car though matey so your choice

Ok dislike them a lot. I just think they are ugly and would ruin the GT. Think they look naff on the brera too but then again I haven't seen any decent wheels on the brera :(. I like multispokes generally though.

It's o.k. he has no taste

Well this is my attempt at photoshopping the horseshoe alloys on to my GT

Now

Could look like

Now admittedly the image of the alloys make them look like 18" when in fact they'll be 17" which sort of distorts the view. Just trying to decide if the horseshoe alloys are too bling!?

A better one with the horseshoe

and with the 8C style

The wife prefers the spokes then she prefers the horseshoes, she thinks the 8C are too boy racer!! I can't believe I'm almost taking the wife's thoughts on this :wow:

If I can't get a set of the multispokes at a reasonable price I think it'll be the horseshoes

The horseshoes are better than the multispokes. :p
But even better would be a set of OE Teles, supersports or TIs.

I like the horseshoes on every model EXCEPT the GT. It just doesn't look right ....maybe the GT is too long. It just doesn't suit wheels that look too sporty.

18" multi's are my preference.
I've seen a GT with Ti wheels ...they looked good.

Also, you car will then always be 'the GT with brera wheels'

Mmm, yeah still debating. Thing is if I got Ti wheels I'd be the 'GT with Ti wheels' ;)

Got a couple of quotes off parts gateway for 2 used multispokes for £264 or 4 (with tyres) for £588. I need to replace the fronts anyway (Falken ZE-912 I think off mytyres.co.uk as the rears are ok) so the used multispokes is the obvious cheaper option will just have to sleep on it.

Hasn't the Blackline or the Cloven-hoof GT got horseshoe alloys?

Anyhow, I think it looks most excellently splendid.

They suit the car whilst also making it look more modern. Multi-spoke are a bit "last decade" now.. and even though I think the wheels should always suit the car's era (age & style...) the horseshoe will suit your GT and make it look more modern than multi's.

You can keep the car longer before it becomes "old" (as a concept, nothing to do with actual age) and that means that you will even save money, since you won't take the depreciation hit for a year or two longer than otherwise.

Ralf, I've just checked and the blackline does indeed have what look like horseshoe alloys. They're smaller in size and at the middle of the alloy they blend in rather than being raised but a close look all the same. Cheers, might just help in my decision admittedly my photo-shopping wasn't the best!!
