Having problems with lack of power below 3000rpm and refusing to rev above 3000rpm. With the help of this forum I've replaced all of the VNT solenoid pipes despite them looking fine with a temporary fix (3mm fuel lines, I've got silicone ones on order from eBay)

Great to say that my power is back at below and above 3000rpm!

Still got the pesky engine light coming up on the dashboard but happy to have power back!

I know the upper and lower turbo hoses need replacing also, so that's my next job. I'm weighing up whether it's worth ordering silicone ones from Autolusso and fitting them myself (Difficult job?) or my local Alfa specialist wants £65 for each including labour. Opinions?

Do you think the engine management light will disappear of its own accord or will I need it clearing by my local garage?

Thanks guys, been really helpful so far and saved me some £ !

Fit them yourself. The bottom hose needs the car to be on stands though. If not the bottom, you can definitely do the top ones yourself. Have a look under the hood, remove the plastic shroud on the right side. Top hose is right there..2 jubilee clips later, you have saved atleast 65 quid (which is too much..considering my local mechanic quoted 20min job @ 45£/hr.)
