Guys,

I had my back windscreen smashed last week. Also the two door handles!! Any they didn't even steel anything!!! ARRRRHH!

Have been waiting for over a week for the new glass to arrive with Mr Windscreen in Athlone, Midlands, Ireland. Went down to Mr Windscreen today to be handed a 147 rear screen without any holes in it for the spoiler, the part number for this standard (without holes) rear windscreen is 0060694298.

Anyone know correct the part number for the window glass with the four spoiler screw holes? Its a 147 Q2 Sport which I bought new in 2007.

Just tried eper... oddly my VIN doesn't seam right ZAR93700003384340. Checked it twice, that's the number on the log book and the engine plate. My windows are etched with ARH976307000111333 ??? Which is similar but 1 number too long for a VIN. Other engine plate numbers are e3 98/14 0070, Version 937AXN1B 30 B and Spares Number 3568547

Any advice guys? Could I get a standard window and glue the spoiler on?

Yer just bond it back on that's what I did with mine years ago, the car I took the spoiler off was a GTA and that was only bonded as well

Re Exocet - lol.. no its a telescopic ladder.. I had 1000 quid of gear in the boot, they didn't steel anything!!!

4 cars got broken into at the Hotel. The scallywags broke the rear windows on them all. I found that my alarm went off when I put my hand through the broken window... I'm reckoning the factory Alfa alarm is better than most and monitors all of the car which scared the swine's off. I reckon many/most car alarms only cover the front seats...

Anyway....Car was fixed this morning.. Hurray!! Window arrived with 4 cast holes for the spoiler screws. FYI Alfa Piccadilly Knaresborough gave me the rear window (with holes) part number as 50501595. Cannot confirm the part number as the windscreen guy had removed the packaging.

It turns out that fitting a rear 147 screen is a serious job, took the guy ~1.5 hours, he used a chemical activator and then a silicon type sealer from a specialist hand held pump which took ~1 hour to set. Definitely not a DIY job should anyone else need to fit a rear screen.

All is well again.. 2 fecking weeks!!!

Glad you got it sorted:thumbs:, shame some scum does stuff like that with no thought for anyone else, should be flogged in public when they are caught.
