I bottled out of buying one new, many years ago. I'd never bought a new car but came so close. I never even went for a road test. I just sat in it and wanted it. I regret it now but I suppose rose coloured specs looking back at it now. Had I bought it I'd have had awful economy, terrible depreciation and would have got frustrated no doubt with it after a while.
My mate had one back in the day, a mental car seemed to remember he spent an equal amount of time refitting stuff as much as he drove it.
A kind of family size Uno turbo.
A good one today commands good money.
A mate of mine had an SuperStrada 85 (five door in bronze) and it was a super little car. Much better than the XR3 he'd had.
He'd hanckered for a 105TC or Abarth until I pointed in the direction of the SAAB 9000.....
