Looking to insure my ts for around 15k annual millage. Just started the great insurance game but already quite bored. Quotes are coming in around £460, with max NCB, fully comp, (and their pretend ) club discount offer.

I generally switch between Flux and Knott, but happy to try someone new. Who do you use?

Peter Best were offering me about £250 I think on my Spider. A Classic policy though.
48, IAM but with a Manchester postcode which is never good!

I'm just touching 35, but now all sensible with a house, a couple of kids and a nice clean license.
What sort of miles are you on? I think I'll be doing too many for a classic policy but cheers for the info, I'll see how they compare.

That was either 3k or 5k I forget which. I could not use it as my sole transport with a limited mileage, it will be 'supplementary' too the GT

Remember with "Classic" Insurance you do not get NCB and will loose whatever bonus you might have after 2 yrs unless you have it written on another car on another policy.

Thanks - good point as it's taken years to build up. I've got camper on the go too (limited to 3 or 5K) and tent to manage (with a bit of hassling) to get the NCB mirrored to what's on my main car. I think I'll fall outside of the classic criteria as I'll be using the GTV as a daily driver. Put me down as "future classic".

Try Octagon. My insurance is now £515. They reduced my bill by £50 from last year. 10000 miles, 9 yrs NCB and covered if hit by uninsured driver.

Elephant have a pretty narrow wording and are actually 'Admiral light' from memory. Multicast from admiral is ok but I seem to do better with Adrian flux and RH specialist cars

Much to my surprise Direct Line have been cheaper than the price comparison sites in recent times.
Perhaps it is because I am now the wrong side of 40?

Last time I paid £340 fully comp for a 12k miles policy which suits me fine.

I have tried "specialist/Alfa friendly" insurers in the past and always found their quotes to be comical at best!

Thanks all, this gives me some names to get quotes from that I wouldn't have thought of. I'll let you know how I get on.

Get some named drivers on your policy, doesn't really matter who it seems as long as no convictions.
