For me its probably one of the greatest singles/videos ever....the lyrics are sublime..

YouTube - There There...

in pitch dark i go walking in your landscape.
broken branches trip me as i speak.
just 'cause you feel it doesnt mean its there.
just 'cause you feel it doesnt mean its there.

There's always a siren
Singing you to shipwreck
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)
Steer away from these rocks
We'd be a walking disaster
(Don't reach out, don't reach out
Don't reach out, don't reach out)
just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean its there.
(theres someone on your shoulder)
(theres someone on your shoulder)
just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean its there.
(theres someone on your shoulder)
(theres someone on your shoulder)
There there!

why so green and lonely?
and lonely
and lonely

heaven sent you to me
to me
to me

we are accidents
waiting waiting to happen.

we are accidents
waiting waiting to happen

so my question...is this the greatest radiohead track ever ?

mike....

'there there' is one of my favs and gets put on repeat if it turns up on random play on MP3 player.

I also like 'sail to the moon', 'lucky', 'pyramid song', 'just', 'sulk', 'black star', 'backdrifts', 'weird fishes', 'idioteque', 'stop whispering' and 'vegetable'.........................and how could I forget 'climbing up the walls' :D

as for a favourite.......................I dunno...........

My Mum used to work in a newsagents in Little Clarendon street, Oxford, and Jonny Greenwood would regularly pop in to buy things.

She never once thought to ask for his autograph though.

Yes, gets my vote. "Hail" is a great album, of which There There is the best track for me, and their best ever, particularly the last couple of minutes. Other close contenders for me are:

A Wolf At the Door
Exit Music (for a film)
Bullet Proof
Weird Fishes
Idioteque
Knives Out

Saw them in London earlier in the "summer" - top stuff.

Karma Police

Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge
He's like a detuned radio

Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is
Making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get when you mess with us

Karma Police
I've given all I can
It's not enough
I've given all I can
But we're still on the payroll

This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get when you mess with us

And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost mysel
