Chapter 1 - The Good

My 156 has gone through a very bad patch recently, but all is now well, and I am moved to recommend to my fellow alfisti :

H.R. Owen of Parsons Green, S.W. London H.R. Owen Prestige Car Dealer - Tradition of Excellence

I took my 156 to them last week. It took them 5 minutes to diagnose the problem - air flow meter. Couple of days later, I collected the car from them - new air flow meter supplied and fitted, car cleaned inside and out, now running better than ever before. Their Service Manager and Master Technician (20 years experience of Alfa's) know what they're talking about, and don't look down their noses at models "past the first flush of youth" (my 156 dates from August 1998).

No doubt this post will open up the old debate of "dealer vs independent", all I can say is : in the case of H.R. Owen "they do what it says on the tin".

Now, I hear you ask "what of the Bad and the Ugly ?" - watch this space for Chapters 2 and 3.

Dave S...

PS I have no commercial connection with H.R. Owen.

You're lucky to have such a good dealer in close proximity to your address.

I'm glad they treated you and your Bella well
