on the side of the road today.

Yes 05 plate GT 19k and the clutch goes after pulling out of a junction. Stuck in first gear so can`t move it. Contact Alfa Connect and they sent out the AA after about 75mins:rolleyes: He says straight away that he thinks he knows what the problem is, a spring pin that connects the clutch pedal to the master cylinder, but hes never seen one go yet!
So has a look and yes he right, and goes to his van and gets a pot rivoit and bends it to make a temporary repair.Job done good as new.:) But why???........why such a stuiped thing makes and alfa look so unreliable!! I could see peoples faces saying serves you right you shouldn`t have brought an Alfa, the part cost pence.
That s my rant over, booking it in tomozz at Meridens, just so you now know if you get the same problem the clutch pedal goes to the floor.
One nice thing is the AA man comes up o me at first an says "whats up with this beasty"just made me think it is still worth it!:inlove:

Luck was on your side, very similar trhing happened to me after only 7 miles in my brand new GT, also stuck in 1st gear. Unfortunately RAC weren't able to fix mine, had to go to the dealer, result, burnt out clutch !!!, (down to the riverts, knackered flywheel also just for good measure), after being blamed for the problem, (technician reported driver error!), ALFA UK agreed to fix it. Am now enjoying my GT ownership !!
