Hi All,

I've owned my 2003 2.0 JTS GTV for just over nine months. In all that time it's bee fantastic, never missed a beat, fun to drive, and no problems at all...............

........... Until today. Disaster struck on my way home from work in a big way.............

.......... ONE OF THE BULBS IN MY REV COUNTER BLEW !!!!!

I desperately need help...........

1. What bulbs do I need ???

2. Can I get them pretty much anywhere or are they ALFA only ???

3. The instruments light up red........... Are the bulbs red or clear (with a shade in the instrument cluster)???

4. Are they easy to fit ???

Thanks guys...........

Cheers to All

is it definately a bulb?

I have just had a right shag about with the "services fuse" which blew and I lost illumination on a number of dials etc.

Tried my patience to the fullest but it is all fixed now (except the classic air bad light is now on!)

I' pretty certain it's a bulb............... In the rev counter the top right section is bright, lower left of the dial is dimmed.......... Speedometer is bright all over .............

............ Surely not even the Italians would fuse the bulbs separetly in each dial ????

Cheers to All

Dashboard & Panel Bulbs 12V :: Autobulbs Direct Ltd - Xenon bulbs, car bulbs, wiper blades, headlight, Osram, Ring, Philips

It is really easy to fix the problem take thewhole dash assembly out 2 screws. then once it is out take the back cover off and the circuit board only a few screws and clips. take out the knackered bulb go to halfords and find the same one i do have a part no and type somewhere but its easy to find. took me about ten mins and cost £1.77 i think. I did this on a 99 gtv so think it will be the same?

Hahaha My car did exactly the same to me the other day. Its bloody hard driving at night when you don't know where the redline is :p

Haven't actually attempted this yet, but will do soonish. Its just another thing in the list of rubbish to sort.
