4 weeks ago I asked advice on either buying a 166 or a 156. Owning a 164 Cloverleaf 6 years ago was great, so wanted to sell my Audi A6 an get back into an Alfa. After reading so many threads from the 156 and 166 sections, I decided to buy a 156 Sportwagon. After searching within a 60 mile radius, I have purchased a 156 1.8 T-Spark Veloce LT Sportwagon, 51 plate with 54K with FSH for £3K. Happy as pie being back in an alfa. Thanks again to you all who contributed your views. Just need to enjoy driving it and the ownership.:D

not the same but today i drove an A4 Avant and loved it!
07 plate 2.0T FSI S-line, bright red with a Bose system, it was awesome!
it went so fast i hit 60 still inside the carpark! a little scary but awesome!

it made me smile, but not like the 156 does... :)
if vw sort out the dull interior i'll get one as my next car! but it'll always be boring i recon.

oh congrats mate! great choice!

You want a fast Audi Avant? Try a RS4!!! 414bhp 4.2 litre V8, 8200 rpm redline, 6 speed manual, quattro. I redlined it in 3rd which I think was >100 mph (I was too busy looking at the road) and it still had 3 gears left! Superb handling with the most intoxicating exhaust note.Only $185000 in Oz!

Yes to those of you. My previous car was a RS6 Saloon which kills off a RS4 from 20 mph. RS4's have too much road noise, where an RS6 is king. 5 years with the RS6 has been great but seriously expensive. Now not doing 25K miles a year, more sober 5k miles a year. Sold it cheap as the monster service was fast approaching.

But this forum is not for Audi's. My 1.8 T-Spark Sportwagon is silver, Black momo leather interior with full options pack that the 1st woman owner had fitted. The leather seats are like they have never been sat in. Yes the cambelt has not been changed, I have this booked next week at my alfa specialist Dutton's. Does it apply now that this is done every 3 years / 36000 miles instead of 72000 miles?;)
