Hi Guys, any suggestions? I have a 2010 Veloce which i love, recently the climate control dials that indicate what temperature is set on the driver side has gone out, the fans/heat/aircon all work fine and the temperature indicator on the passenger side comes on. Just wondered if there was a quick fix i could try, was thinking of removing the dials and spraying a bit of electrical contact cleaner through it? Any suggestions other than a new unit would be gratefully appreciated.

My first thread, didn't mean to put a thumbs up on the title and don't know how to remove it lol.

Well i thought i'd sorted it, now the odometer is flashing even though the part number is correct, time to give the stealers some money.

Climate control is a CAN node, so it needs a proxy alignment if replaced ......
Thanks for that jwq. Spoke to local alfa specialist and they quoted me £30 to stop the odometer flashing, sounds like good value :cross-eyed:

Not sure it is free, think you need the payed version for proxy alignment which is 50 euro for the software.......

....and a laptop and a cable and it's a bit of a faff. I have 2 alfas and a fiat and I like to tinker so it seems like a pretty good addition to the tool box for me. 30quid seems reasonable from the dealers if you know the problem will be resolved. However some garages are keen to charge more for just reading a code or canceling the eml.

I think it's important to get the message out there that the ecu stuff isn't magic and we can all access it and use it with minimal investment.
