Hi all,

I have an alfa GT 2006 model JTD, I don't know if this is normal, but when I switch on the heater in the morning the car will not reach its optimum temperature, I also noted that it takes ages to get up to say about 80. If I don'e switch on the heater the temp reaches the 90 very quickly. what I think is that the inside heat exchanger is dissipating to much heat is this possible?

Thanks for your feedback
Brian

Sounds about right.....the internal heater matrix is in circuit before the thermostat opens, so it is cooling the coolant(!) as soon as it is switched on, therefore the coolant will take longer to reach optimum temperature - particularly in the current very cold conditions.....
