Hi,

How long should it take for the temperature gauge to start reading anything after the car is started from cold and allowed to idle?

I've just changed the stat on my 156, after being fairly sure it was stuck open but the gauge still ain't doing much. I've tried 2 temp sensors as well...

Any way to test the gauge/wiring before I replace that?

Cheers,

Iain

Quick update. Alfadiag is showing the right temperatures, and by the time it's reading ~90degC, the gauge is about 80 or so.

Maybe a brand new temp sender is the way to go...

if its showing 80 and alfadiag is showing 90 thats grand. The temp is correct just the guage is a bit out. No big deal.
