Hi guys
My first foray into Alfa was a 2004 diesel GT. I replaced that with another diesel GT and now have a 09 159 Ti 2.0 Jtdm. I also have a nice little 98 TS Spider.
Anyway, circumstances may be changing where I won't need a car to commute. And I've always kinda regretted getting rid of the GT, feels it suits me better than a 4 door saloon. Surprisingly my wife feels the same. So I thought I'd get myself a petrol GT, the choice being a 1.8TS, 2.0JTS or 3.2V6.
So the question is around the tax rate I'll pay. If she was originally registered in the UK before 2008 do I pay on engine size or do I pay based on when it was registered here in Ireland? As in 2016 and the tax is calculated on CO2. I suspect the later.
As always any help advice is greatly appreciated.

It's based on year of first registration - so you'll be subject to engine-size ratings : 636 for the 1.8 etc :)
