Did I really see a bunch of talentless bints
covering Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" on TV
just before I went out last night, or was it an
alcohol induced nightmare!? ...

That'll be the 'public access TV' the public have demanded for so long then  . But you're right, I don't want a load of talentless tossers I've never heard of invading my living room either!

I too have seen this monstrosity.

Nadine's legs atone for many sins but this is beyond the pale.

If you listen carefully you can hear Jam Master Jay turning over in his grave.

It's Girls Aloud & The Sugababes, this years Comic Relief single, but that still doesn't excuse it.
Chris Moyles on Radio 1 suggested you should be able to buy 3 minutes of silence, if you want to give to charity, but don't to listen to it.

Sub Rant:

I hate Comic Relief!

Just an excuse to churn out
total **** "for char-id-ee, mate."

And for people to run around, play dress-up
and expect you to put money in their bucket
'cause they're feeling guilty about their lack
of charitable donations in the intervening year(s).

I take your point, but charitable contributions by
the general public probably well surpass that figure
(I think the UK public give around €8 billion a year.)
and we don't have to put up with talentless has-beens
trying to claw a few extra minutes of fame to boot.

It's the "Look at me!" part I don't like.
