I've decided to SORN the 156 while the wife is on maternity leave, and was hoping to get some advice on how to store it and how I should maintain it for 9 months.

It's already been off the road for about 6weeks in the garage, I have started it and turned it over once a week, in that time the battery has died and today...there is some metal on metal grinding coming from the rear wheel, but only at a certain point in the turn. Any ideas?

Thanks

leave windows slightly down to avoid mildew on seats etc
disconnect the battery leads [ both ]
remember where you hide the key :)

assuming you can park on flat ground:

lift up & support the car so as all 4 wheels off the ground
leave hand brake off
spray wd40 onto the brake discs [ inside & outside ] in order to rpevent them form rusting up excessivley

Put the battery on an optimate or similar or it'll be wrecked when you come to use the car again. No need to take it off the car. Don't try and start it again until you are ready to use it regularly, it won't have forgotten how to run and you'll do it more harm than good by starting it. Leave the handbrake off and chock the wheels.
