Suffolk is wonderful but some parts of Ipswich are to be avoided! Leiston too as it's close to Sizewell ........

It's just a thought for the moment, Jules has been asked to consider being the Area manager for Suffolk, she would have to run the projects which will be in all the worst places, we would if it comes to it prefer not to have to live in them, needs to be a nice spot with access to all areas.....:)

The good news is that there is nowhere so bad that you would avoid like the plague.

That said there are some places that are a bit bland (Rendlesham springs to mind - sorry I have friends who live there).

There are some great places to live. If you are seriously considering it then do the usual stuff - pick a radius of travel and then visit as many places as you can therein.

We love it where we are.

Bury St Edmunds is a nice historic market town, with an Alfa main dealer and highly recommended independent Alfa specialist, which is always a bonus to those of us with an Alfa. There some lovely villages locally too.

That's true.

No official recommendation here. Ignore the act that I am a mod.

My personal experience of Avanti is that they are the best.

There are some great areas to live around Ipswich - what are you waiting for?

If you like the coast, then Aldeburgh and Southwold are nice. Lowestoft is a dump.

Ipswich is the largest Suffolk town, and comes with good and less good areas. Bury is nice - same as Ipswich.

It really depends on where you'd work and what sort of environment you want. There are loads of lovely villages, but commuting can be a bit slow depending on which major town you want to get into. Still, at least you'd be in an Alfa :)
