The wife just rang me. On her way to work she expericed a sudden loss and unexcepted loss of power. the car is struggling to get above 20mph. Is this the dreaded EGR or something else.

Unfortunately we had to fill up at Morrisons on Sunday (as we were totally out of diesel). The car has NEVER been near supermarket before so i think that couldn't have helped the situation!

Called the AA out (which wasn't actually the AA becuase they are sooo busy they have sub contracted some of their call outs!). He thinks the clutch is slipping, the car is an 06 and covered 42k so that can't be right, can it? Also the dunce yanked the bonnet release and broke it!!!!! arrgggggh!

what a day! so the car is now being towed to my local trusted garage for them to have a look over

An 06 159 Ti spec

Clutch slip wouldn't normally cause a 'safe-mode' shutdown on the system.

Have you got a diagnosis yet
