Hi Guys,

I have seen a Sud that i'm interested in...

Could anyone tell me what I should pay for a 1983 1.5ti in reasonable condition, 80,000 miles and a new 12 month MOT.

I would be interested to know what you guys would give as a guesstimate :)

oh and i will tell you this as well, because someone else will if i don't.
practical classics magazine price guide says a condition 2 alfasud (car capable of day to day use has a current mot, but needs some work/parts to be mint) average is £1500, for a condition 1 (mint/near mint) £3250. and condition 3 (rusting away) £300.
but to be honest at the moment prices can vary wildly. depending on what your buying and who is selling.

80k miles might be 180k miles due to 5 digit odometer so check other indications too . For example worn disk brakes etc....
or just look through any history with the car, can work it out that way.

If it is solid (ie not just made of filler & rust!), then it is a very good buy.

Mileage is irrelevant really.

Really depends what you want to do with it?
I bought a QV sprint this year for £1200, will take it to the garage next April to see what it fails on then decide if I keep it or sell it:thumbs:
The reason for this is that I have a 1.5TIX Sud in the garage that I'm trying to restore (as kevjtd has) which I bought for £750 last feb.
I want to FULLY restore this one (back to bare metal - including floor, wheel arches, suspension, engine and gearbox ect) so it will last me till I can afford an S or RZ:lol:
Mine you when I have finished the restore I could have probably been pretty close to ownig 1/2 of one:cry:
Hopefully you have found a "good un" and will decied to restore it too:thumbs:

use the force luke, the power of the force will cast lightness upon the correct path, but my son, beware the dark side, it makes german cars seem so good..

sorry mate could not help that one, if the sud is solid, then its worth going after... the engine and things like that are easy to sort compared to loads of welding
