So basically the front subframe is extremely rusted on my 1.9jtdm 88kw (120hp) facelift 147. My question is what ones can I look for to work to change out the rotten one?

1) Does diesel/petrol make a difference?
2) Would one from a GT/156 work? afaik they use similar/same drivetrain
3) Facelift and non facelift?

Currently have found one from a pre-fl 147 1.9 jtd 103kw, would it work?

Thanks!

From around 2002-2003 they fitted extra strengthening plates from the subframe to the front floorpan, so the subframe has extra captive nuts, thats the only difference Im aware of. Im sure the q-drive 156s also had unique subframes but it might be something minor like different bracketry (e.g. for piping).

I've swapped a few and found the only difference is some have a captive nut for a bracket that holds the power steering pipes and some don't. (at least I think it was the power steering pipes, can't remember I've slept since then). Either way a cable tie does just as good job and is easier to fit and remove.
