Hi everyone, just had a question about what tyre sizes i can put on my 159.
Im currently on 205/55/16 which the owners manual states as an approved size.
The manual also list 215/55/16 as a size. Can this fit on the same 16 rims?

My reason for wanting to go to a taller diameter is to help give it a bit more clearance over bumps, especially as my tow bar always scrapes coming off the bump. Every little helps!

Also any recommendations for a tyre with excellent wet grip and is really really quiet? (lots of motorway driving)
Im currently on goodyear efficientgrip performance, but they need replacing.

Yes.
Both sizes are in the manual with 7"x16" rims.

Thats really useful, but it apparently lists the tyres I already have on as the lowest noise rating... aww.
I've debated removing the tow bar but its useful to have and has saved my ass/bumper a few times now :D

Ive been told uniroyal rainsport3 is a good wet grip tyre, but their noise ratings about 71db. Are they noticeably noisy?

The 55 is a percentage of the width so the 215/55 are taller than 205/55.
On the 159 both sizes are used on a 7" rim.

On a 156/147/GT the 205/55 was on a 6.5" rim.

Not a problem.
