I can't seem to get the petrol smell to stop from my 75 TS.
Its driving me mad! has anyone else had this problem? I think its coming from the boot area but with the windows down it smells inside the car.

I have checked underneath, can't see any leaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

75 TS are bad for petrol tanks leaking due to rust. They go on the seem near the top of the tank, so will usually only leak when almost full, this could give you your petrol smell.

Or it could be your filler neck, which connects to the tank through the boot floor, try checking the hose clips on the neck to make sure there tight.

I'd agree with that, having had two rusted and leaking tanks, I am going to go for the in boot version out of the 3.0. My experience is also the top is the problem, but where it is hard to see, on the upper face of the seam at the top where mud etc collects.
