Storm Callum: Southeast winds veering southwest will gust generally between 100 and 130km/h, higher in some coastal areas and on high ground. Along with a spell of heavy rain and high tides there is a risk of coastal flooding and damage.

Updated: Wednesday 10 October 2018 19:00
Valid from Thursday 11 October 2018 22:00 to Friday 12 October 2018 09:00

The rest of the coastal counties also under Orange Alert with the rest of the country having a Yellow Alert.

Hatches battened down, hopefully the worst of it will be over by morning here & the rest of the country later in the day with no casualties.

We prepared by storing everything that was lying about outside, I filled up Jenny and tested her, charged up batteries etc. Wasn't too bad after all that. According to our weather station we had over 30mm of rain.

Wasn't too bad here, probably worst during the night while I was asleep, don't think we had too much rain, no damage done anyway.

AFAIK any storms named elsewhere that make their way here keep their original name.

You should write to someone for special dispensation. But your posts are too short to qualify as long winded, let alone hurricane force.

Windy enough at times here with showers, fairly wild around 12:30, but no power cuts or damage.
