Hi

I have decided to tackle the job and replace the timing belt myself. I am going to have to take the head off to check the damaged valves.

A step by step instruction guide would be very much appreciated.

You need Alfa Workshops comprehensive instructions, with illustrations.:): I'm not sure how you get there via AO, but try a search box, unless someone knows a more direct way to go?:):

step 1 : get in the car
step 2: drive to nearest alfa garage
step 3: borrow car
step 4: get in the car
step 5: go home
step 6: relax
step 7: wait till next morning
step 8: get in the car
step 9: trash the car
step 10: get to garage
step 11: pay
step 12: enjoy your old " new" car
