I bought my Stelvio as an 18 month old car. It had it's first service as I bought it. So it's been to the dealers at least once.
At night I am getting flashed by other road users and I suspect that it's because my car headlights are dazzling them.
The aim of the lights does seem a little high but unlike other older cars I have owned the headlight aim does not seem to be simple to adjust.
When I start the car with the lights on I can see them sort of self test then align themselves based, I guess, on the computer settings for them.
Do I need to have the car plugged into a computer to make any headlamp aim adjustments or is there an easy way to bring the aim down a bit.
I am expecting trouble with the first MOT when the headlamp aim is examined.
Any suggestions welcome.

The answer is in there. My car has the uber-expensive headlamp bulbs, the xenon ones. The headlamp adjuster position on the dashboard as shown in the illustration is blank in my car. The only control located there is the dash light brightness control. I have the Stelvio Milano 2.0L petrol. It looks like a dealer job to align the headlights based on the attachment you sent. I will add it to the list of 'other things ' when the car goes in for its next service. I have the fuel tank sensor recall letter to add to their list, plus the warped fuel filler flap and a request to check out the brake pads because the car did about 5000K in the Italian alps last year and as at least half the time I was going downhill on an auto gearbox the brakes did way more work than they will be expecting on the flat lands where I, and the dealers live.
As an incidental observation, the requirement to carry a spare bulb kit in Europe is a bit of a bugger. The headlamp bulbs are a sod to fit and I would not attempt it although I did carry a pair in case someone much better qualified could be found to do the fitting if needed. The others are all LED so out of the kit supplied it is only the interior light bulbs that have any relevance. So in order to satisfy the local constabulary I am forced to spend too much money on a bulb kit that serves very little purpose beyond the carrying of it. Rant over.

(5000k is a long way?)

My car also has bi-xenon and I’ve got it booked in for the fuel flap next week. I hadn’t really looked at how the lamps are levelled in the year/5500 Miles I’ve had it from new. Don’t worry about bulbs; a pair of headlamps costs £2600 as far as I know. Just carry a pair in the boot!

Hi there.
I carry a couple of bulbs for the headlamps. Don't think I could justify carrying spare headlights at that price. Yes 5000k is a long way. We were in the Alps for a couple of months last year and got around a bit.

We usually drive to Italy but the time window between our son finishing scout camp and daughters date to be back for GCSE results meant we rented a car from the airport. This year we should get to do the Stelvio Pass. This should be a good recce for cycling it some time.

5000 k is a million! That’s a lot of hills. We usually drive to Italy but the time window between our son finishing scout camp and daughters date to be back for GCSE results meant we rented a car from the airport. This year we should get to do the Stelvio Pass. This should be a good recce for cycling it some time.
Been up the Stelvio pass a couple of times. Have to say it is a bit commercialised at the summit. As to cycling up, you will have plenty of company but my personal advice is 'don't even start' it looks a right bugger, goes up and up and on and on and is way beyond me even thinking about. If you want to go up the absolute highest paved road in the Alps, slightly higher than the Stelvio look up the Col d'liseran 2770 metres. Both passes are swarming with motorbikes during the day, you need to have you patience turned way up. My 5000k is of course kilometres which is not so far after all.

I've done the Bormio side of the Stelvio a few of times, but not yet in my Giulia Quadrifoglio.
My biggest problem once was following a camper van which was a tight fit in the narrow tunnels.
Best avoided at weekends and in August when all of Italy is on holiday.
The Col d'Iseran is boring when compared with the Stelvio.

My biggest problem once was following a camper van which was a tight fit in the narrow tunnels.

You must live an exciting life if the Col d'lseran is boring. I managed to derail a motorbike on a bend there. It was following me very close on the way down the Bonneval sur arc side. I had to stop on the bend because a car coming up needed all the road to turn and the guy on the motorbike had to stop behind me. When he put his foot down the camber of the road as it turned into the bend ahead meant that there was no road under his foot so over he went. The fact that he was following stupidly close didn't seem to factor in when he analysed the reason for the fall. We stayed at the hotel at the top of the Stelvio for one night. Mistake. It caters for the summer ski brigade therefore is clean but basic, even to the extent of no curtains in the windows. After all why do skiers need curtains, the moment the sun is up so are they. Stamping around outside in ski boots, slamming van doors and shouting. I doubt you could do justice to your Quadrifolio on the hairpins, god forbid, if you try that you should meet someone on a bend coming the other way doing the same thing.

Out of curiosity, my screen on this forum is obscured a lot with grey blobs which cover much of the text. Is it me or does this site do that. Can I get rid of it or do I live with it.

I had a similar issue with my Stelvio headlights aiming too high. I was regularly flashed by oncoming cars, even though I was on dipped beam. I mentioned this at first service and the report came back that they were correct according to their equipment. On second service, I mentioned again, but was more insistent that they should be adjusted. This time they were adjusted and all is well.

I thought from the first that my dipped headlights were rather too good on visibility. I can see why other road users think I'm on main beam. I have a service comming up in a few hundred miles. I shall mention it.

I am quite sure that the dealer did actually adjust the height of the dipped beam. There is definitely a lot of bad experiences out there regarding Alfa dealers, but I have to say that Donnelly's in Mallusk (near Belfast) have been very accommodating to any request I have made and I have had no issues with the work they have done.
