Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the above?

A certain non-franchised Alfa supplier states that these systems are exclusively available through them in the UK. However, a quick search on the internet has produced a number of other companies that claim to be distributors within the UK

For those of you who don't know, this appears to be a black box which claims to give 20% more power and 20% more torque. Oddly, there is little information about how it works, and what it is connected to. However, there are a number of claims regarding its superiority over remapping.

Information regarding the warantee lacks clarity, can anyone tell me what "Cost-binding additional or agility guarantees" means?

So, if you have had the system fitted - why did you buy it rather than a remap (which appears cheaper and gives more power)?

Nothing that just plugs into a car without a dedicated, custom map for the car (literally the one its being connected to!) will make as much power as a proper remap.....Period!!

No engine is the same.... Every single engine is different in some way, and their are a infinite number of possibilities why as well, therefore the only solution is a map built for each individual engine, taking those infinite variations into consideration.

For example... Joe bloggs has a 2001 156 2.0TS with a remap, ignoring other technical issues, hyperthetically would fit my 2001 156 2.0 TS. Would the map be identical on mine? Nope! Because its not my engine its been setup for!

This is the different between a tacky chip, and a proper remap. Cheap chips are generic, whereas a full on remap takes your unique engine characteristics and engine specification and alters all the air/fuel parameters etc etc to suit your engine best. Resulting in more power, and more efficiency.

I wouldnt buy a whatever it is if it was handed out free!

I dont even have a remap and i totally agree with kgb!

Thats the one place i will be going to get a CDA and a real remap.... Once ive fitted the Supersprint manifold, stainless centre link pipe and Ragazzon stainless twin exhaust tailpipes!

On my bella I have, the frount mount intercooler, a remap, de-cat, and today I fitted a free-flow back box...later on I might upload the sound.

These days I will be getting the BMC-CDA from Nigel (angeltuning)...as that is the only thing left to do....for now

Also in my limited dealings with Angel Tuning in the past Nigel did give me the impression that he was the type of person one could trust, and wouldn't sell you something if it didn't work.

In my experience, you cannot trust anyone where money is concerned! FACT!!
May I just clarify that statement has nothing to do with the Angel Tuning site

Im also pretty sure that i read that he would drive the car first, and BEFORE doing anything would make it clear if it was viable to remap it.... And im also sure he said if you didnt like it he would return it to original no questions asked.

To me thats a massive plus point. You need to have masses of confidence in your product to make such bold statments. Especially when you could be held to them.

Remapping is an art in itself, so it speaks volumes to me to be honest. But i also know that others see things from a different perspective as well.

He (Angel Tuning) tick the right boxes for me, and ive never spoken a single word to any of the companies staff.
