Hi there,

I'm intending on changing my steering wheel soon, and i'm after advice on what tool is used to remove the airbag. Plus how is the wheel attached to column? bolt or nut? and what size please.
When i disconnect the battery to remove airbag, will get a warning light appear on dash when it's all re connected.
Is there a time limit after battery disconnect before airbag removal?

cheers

Make sure road wheels are straight

Disconnct battery for 45 mins

3 x 5mm allen / hex bolts to remove airbag (careful of the connector)

24mm socket for the big nut, but don't fully remove, the wheel will need a 'wiggle' to loosen first

Richard. Leave the nut on once you loosen it a bit. That way, when you pull on the wheel you won't smack yourself in the face.
