Quite easy to change, remove the airbag releasing the three hex bolts from the back of the wheel, release buttons flexi connectors and prise them out including their silver trim from the steering wheel.
They are pretty expensive form the Alfa dealer as you need to buy not only buttons but the complete silver trim with them... I have seen the rubber buttons only on italian ebay some time ago, but cant find them anymore and they are not available from Alfa separately AFAIK..

I'd suggest disconnecting the battery first....

simple job, don't worry. and you don't really need to disconnect the airbag if you really don't want to , just release the bolts and its cable will give you plenty of space to remove the buttons. Just don't let the airbag hang on its cable but support it.Airbag removal, damn.

I was about to ask the same question, as Sharon's 147 buttons are worn.

The extra buttons are for voice control and telephone in Connect NAV+ system.

It was 65 EUR, but don't forget I am in Slovakia so the work is cheaper than in UK.
do you know if they work with aftermarket stereos with the right adaptor?

I've never found an aftermarket HU that supports those functions. They only support the standard 2x3 button setup, without 'phone functions. (they work with the 2x4 button setup, it's just that the phone buttons have no function)
OK, changed them today; fairly straightforward thanks to the advice above.
I didn't get those buttons in the link above as they were sold plus I found some cheaper ones on ebay italy, they arrived quickly but were a slightly different shade to the originals. This wasn't a problem as I prefer the lighter colour as imo it matches the silver on the radio etc better.
