Hi Guys,

Just bought a Q2 JTDM cloverleaf, having an 'interesting' issue with the ignition switch - not sure if it's a Alfa-ism or I'm doing something stupid!

Anyway, when I turn the ignition key, if I'm not quick it won't turn all the way and start the car - is there some sort of lock on this - or is the ignition barrel pooched?

Are you sure that it isn't the steering lock as all cars have? Try turning the steering wheel slightly and see if that allows you to turn it.

My GT does the same thing. I just assumed that this was normal. Say when i turn the ignition to have the cd player on, then try and start it, the key wont budge.

I have had my GT since new. Now 3 years old. Ignition switch has been like this since day 1. Thats how it's supposed to be.
