I kept the original springs when lowering the Spider, I'm gonna return the car to its standard ride hight once the spring have been shot blasted and powder coated.

Has any 1 had experience with uprated shocks on a TS at OE hight?

Sorry mate I think you miss under stud!
I'm removing the Eibach lowering springs and fitting the standard 1s.

I'd like to up rate the shocks for a more comfortable but sporty ride.

Depends on your budget, KBY's are a good alternative to OE and if you want to push the boat out Koni's or Bilsteins.

I think both will firm up the ride a bit but shouldn't be too bad with standard springs

Eibach and Bilsteins have joined forces to create the jointly branded B12 spring damper package!
But this package still lowers the car.

Maybe i'll try the Bilsteins if I can get hold of them

OE shocks feel great when new. Don't discount them. They are dear though.

Maybe try Monroe.

Not sure about the fronts, but the rears are fairly new (OE) Shocks

Would be interested in driving another spider with OE springs and uprated shocks to compare

I have used KYB dampers on 155's and I find them softer than OE. They may soften the 916 ride as they do on the 155, but they wouldn't be my first choice.

Try ebay for things like Monroe dampers. I know they are selling a pair of fronts for £80 and the rears are coming in about the same.

Bilsteins are superb, they manage to improve both stiffness and ride, somehow.
