Hello all

I don't think its enything to worry about because its not causing a problem but my Alfa 147 squels when pulling off and dropping down gears, i thought it was a traction control problem but it does it when the traction control is turned off.
Any ideas what this could be down to.

worn clutch maybe? Mine was doing it when coming through the biting point for the first couple of days after I got it. Has stopped now, so I put it down to sitting around for a week not being used.

Does it only happen when the engine speed changes

If so it could be a loose aux/fan belt

No it doesn't seem like either of those, i have a clutch slip and fan belt slip before, it just seems like the traction control trying to slow the car when excellerating but no being able to and squeeling.

it could be the release bearing on the plate?
these clutches work back to front and can wear badly where the release bearing is.
