I've noticed that my offside rear suspension feels ' bouncy '

I believe this means I will need a new rear shock unit. So the questions are:

1) Is this a DIY job?

2) What are the specs for the unit ( part number / name etc. )?

3) What other cars use this unit - as I've found the word 'Alfa' tends to double the price?!!!:wow:

4) Where is a good place to get a cheap one?

Thanks all:)

Just a not-to-expensive one with similar performance to the standard Veloce Sportwagon ones

1)Yes it is a DIY job, so long as you have a decent jack and axle stands

2) As other posters have said, what do you want? standard would be cheaper and easier to source from a local factors

3) None as far as i know

4) I would try your local motor factors, if you have GSF nearby it might be worth giving them a ring, or ebay

My only other recommendation...replace in pairs, it make the ride a lot better as they are both brand new, possibly a silly statement but you would be surprised how many people dont and then complain when the car handles strangely
