Hi , is anyone breaking a 916 spider . I need the little hood clamp clip that goes on the underside of the front bar of the hood as it closes at the windscreen . ( passenger side ) It is a small black box with a J shaped hook that hangs down to secure the hood to the windscreen . This part is no longer supplied by Alfa . My car is 2004 !! The part dropped off as the hood opened ,Can anyone help ??

You might be lucky to find it in the space that the hood retracts in. I had exactly the same experience and found it there. Also the little pin that holds it in place I found in a fold of the hood itself. I was very lucky and so might you be. Have a look.

Hi Mike thanks for the reply , unfortunatley, my bit disappeared , I did not find out until I came to put it up again . But I will have another look .... of course Alfa have stopped making the part ....

I've got a spider hood but when I looked at it couldn't work out how the clamp came off......old age setting in, I guess......
