Following on from another clock question on here i have one about the spider clock in mine. It sort of works....it loses time,a lot of it. Battery is brand new and the car is used often and all is well with the electrical systems it would appear. Is it an age thing? Do they all do that? Second hand revolves and it keeps good enough time for a day or so before you begin to notice it slipping. Not a huge problem as i have a watch and a phone but worth attending to if i knew what to replace/fix?
Can a digital clock be slotted into the same hole with the same wiring? Thanks, John.

Both of mine keep good time so its not an age thing. Maybe take it out and check the electrical connections for cleanliness?

+1 on checking/cleaning connector plug on rear & check you are getting correct battery voltage in.
S4 clocks usually keep excellent time as they are quarz.

Thanks for the picture ,worth a thousand words. I will start with the connectors.
The head gasket is getting started next Monday at an Alfa specialist in Leicester.

Check that the adjustment knob is not slightly stuck in. I had exactly the same issue when I bought the car and it worked fine for me.

Had a loose plan to go but with the fiat requiring a new gearbox,the Alfa blowing the gasket and the few quid I had to pour into passing the 911 MOT I Just don't have much cash nor credit with my long suffering wife......may be a step too far given the circumstances......
