Hi
I have a 1977 Spider Veloce 2000 with Dual circuit brakes and twin servo which have now been sorted with a new master cylinder (ouch!!). Also wasn't running quite right and have been told it needs new carb mounts, Car fitted with twin Dellortos. anyone had the same??

Its possible as the original mounts (which may have been on there for over forty years) can crack, you can do a quick check for air leaks by spraying some carb cleaner, WD40 or somesuch where the mounts are , if it makes a difference to the running then you have an air leak, if not try leaning on the carbs a bit (just a bit) and see if that makes any difference, mounting nuts might be loose, you may also hear a hissing if its really bad. If you have a leak then you can either replace the mounts with standard ones or the solid O ring type, both work fine although the O ring type can be a bit more of a pain to fit and the rings aren't as robust - carb off job, bit fiddly as the lower nuts are a bit awkward , good excuse to invest in a nice 1/4 drive socket set and some wobble bars - Teng are very good
