Hi, I need to undertake a little bit of bodywork repair, does anybody know the colour code for a black 1991 spider, or where to find it?

I am also interested if there are any modern equivalent as black looks black to me

You should find it on a sticker on the underside of the boot lid.

Or have a look down this list, it may be shown there.

I looked at a sales brochure for the S4 and it helpfully describes it as "black"
although it does also have an abbreviation next to it, NAAA.

not sure about "B" 17...........but 817 Nero ought to do you just fine...same as on my 90 spider.

i got my paint, and it was 817, which is black with a touch of violet!
