Hello Everyone,
Not very often that I need to "post " a help topic as so far I have been able to search and find help via previous topics etc.
Any way I DO need your help now. My speedo has stopped working, there was no warning of a problem
just went out to the car , off we went but no speedo.
Hope you can give me some ideas of where to look test etc. My car is a 95 skinny V6 sportspack
Thanks
Mcenroe

The speedo's electric, so you can start by checking the connections at the back of the instrument and off the sensor on the gearbox.

Having said that, Tarquini my old V6, has eaten two speedo's and both times it was the clock itself that was knacked.

You can't buy the speedo wiothout the whole clocks set (£350) but my repairers sent the offending device off to a speedo repair place in Wales (dunno who but I may be able to find out) and so far it's been fine.

I think some models also take the speed reading from the ABS sensors... just to confuse matters
