I've just fitted some new continetal tyres to my 156. The first two I had fitted at a different time with no problems but when I went to have the front two fitted I was told that they are the wrong rating for the car. The guy had a book and showed me that the 156 sportwagon jtd m jet with 17" rims is suppsed to have 91w rated tyres. The continental sport contacts I have are 87v's. He told me they had to be extra loads too because it was an estate. In my alfa manual the book says 91v and doesn't cover the 17" rim option. So what tyres should I have as he said it would invalidate my insurance because the tyres rating is wrong. . . and breathe!!!!

Load Index 91 or 94 for 17" Rims. W or Y or old ZR rated for speed. 87 Poor Load Index, V Rating = Ford Focus type tyre.
