I guess this may have been done before but what is the best detector/safety device?
Is there one that doesn't have to be fixed to the windscreen e.g. in front of rad. and hence, not on public display??
Alan
I've had my Road Angel since December. I now feel that I can concentrate on driving, and watching who / what is around me on the road, rather than keeping one eye on the speedo the whole time!
Home Office approved mobile sites are programmed into the GPS database. Users can even store their own for uploading You get a warning even though the van isn't there, just as you do for gatso's with nowt in them
The laser detector bit is best at ranges above 200m (IE, Piggy humps on the Mways). Under 200m it is usually too late. The van got me at 238m (pre detector) and another user at 250m. I guess I would have been OK if I had the Road Angel then.
You can always fit ECM's for under 250m. Illegal as they render the laser gun inop for a moment, thus give you time to stomp on the middle pedal

The Road Angel is massive compared to the OriginB2.....
Its like and old 14" TV stuck on your dash, no wonder you can't concentrate on the road ahead.......
You can pick the Origin B2 up on ebay.........
I have the RA Compact with laser detector, and so far so good, kept me on the 'right' side. But as has been said before it can be slow to pick up sat pos when first switched on.
effectively yes! But mines the additional item that plugs into the back of the RA. However I'll keep it in, don't see why they should hide and have all the fun!
Yes, if the bill goes through. You can disable the laser function if needed but who will check?? Just look at all the numpties that drive with a mobile stuck to their ear or without a seatbelt
Here's my RoadAngel Plus. Sits atop the info display / vents on a magnetic sticky pad. No wires & kind of neat. Drawback is that wife can now see how fast I'm going from the passenger seat. Previously, this would only happen at the naughty side of 120mph
recently got a road angel 2 from ebay, seems to work really well, although haven't come across any lasers yet so can't comment on that. I only use it on long journeys and when I'm on roads I haven't been on, it definately reduces the feeling of having to always be on the lookout for cameras!
when i got the s4 neos 268 was cheap ,but much cheaper now like anything on the market for a while they are hard wired into the ignition ,dont even have to turn them on
