Back in 2006, NiTRoGuy posted a wiring diagram showing speaker wire colours, but it's no on the post now.

So, can anyone give me a copy - for a 2001 156? Thanks in advance.

'where in the car'? because of interconnecting looms, the wires change colour between the headunit and the doors. :p

i probably can't find them now (used to own a 156), but others can hopefully help. but let us know whether you want the colours for the wires that connect to the headunit in the ISO plug, or the wires in the doors (for polarity purposes).

also, why do you need to know? there are often ways to determine what's what without knowing the colours (eg: using a multimeter).

SC - it's the head plug itself. It got cut off to use (temporarily) in another car, and now I've lost it and had to buy a new one! I could trace them with an avo, but it's easier to ask on here than take the 6 speakers out...

cg93 - thanks, wasn't sure which forum to bung it in!

SC, you might want to add this to your sticky.

Looking at the back of the plug, with the clip at the top...

On the left, from the top.

Blue/Red = Rear Right Negative

White/Black = Front Right Negative

Brown/White = Front Left Negative

Blue/White = Rear Left Negative.

On the right, from the top.

White/Red = Rear Right Positive

Pink/Yellow = Front Right Positive

Green/Black = Front Left Positive

Blue/Green = Rear Left Positive

I found the cut off one!

This a 2001 build 156 btw.
