Can anyone translate into English ???
I 'Linked ' to an e-mail to myself and activated the Google translate service ( free ) and they translated into English ...... But not very well .

However the gist of the French post says that the Seatbelt ' Beep ' can be disabled by removing the black connector as described in photo form on the French post .

There seems to be a question as to whether this action would also disable the air-bag sensors. More enquiries would be required to clarify this .

I suspect that both connectors under each front seat would have to be removed to disable the ' Beeps ' on both seatbelts.

Don't unplug parts of the safety systems.

just go to the dealer and ask for the audible
seatbelt warning to be deactivated.

(which is also what some posters on the French thread suggested. ;))

You could try to get hold of a spare belt buckle and then just slide it in. That may seem a silly idea but then if you are daft enough to drive about without a seatbelt on, then you may be daft enough to try that.:tut:

Unfortunately I do see many people driving round at night with the lights off.
Last Sunday at about 9:30pm it was someone with no lights at all, not even sidelights...

Sadly many people have no sense what so ever.

I'm not a fan of auto-headlights / auto-wipers / etc. If you can't workout when to turn the lights or wipers on you shouldn't be on the road.

It is also unfortunate that a seatbelt warning beeper gets the manufacturer an extra Euro NCAP star. It may be the only thing that makes a 4-star car a 5-star car.
