Nice car, but can't see the heated seat switches and when did they do away the boot retainer rubber straps?
:cheese: It could be the straw Bazza as not everone is alfafflicted:lol:When you add up all the costs of owning a car, does an extra £200-ish per year actually tip the balance from affordable to not?
On the premise that the Singapore Slings never arrived until 2008 I guess that as the 166's never sold well in the first place then this lay in a dealer showroom un regd until 2007.After seeing this gorgeous 166 in a very nice shade of blue

I today contacted the seller with a possible view to buying a very late 166 and the colour really floats my boat ,never seen this colour in a 166 before but after the initial excitement and rush of blood to the head to buy the fact that the road tax is so expensive on these 2007 registered 166s is too much so sensibility won the day but boy what a looker.
Where the hell has this thing been until 2007? i thought i bought one of the last 166s in 2006 were there some 166s imported after they officially withdrawn in the uk?
My 2005 TI doesnt have the rubber boot straps (does have heated seats tho)Nice car, but can't see the heated seat switches and when did they do away the boot retainer rubber straps?
How much is a gallon of juice in the Emerald Isle these days? or should I say litre..that's a lovely car.
It's sort of quaint what you Englanders consider expensive in terms of road tax..![]()

V6s are cheap to buy for exactly this reason. That is a dirt cheap car - an 07 plate with reasonable mileage. So you save the capital cost and pay an extra £200 a year. That's (roughly) two tanks of petrol. When you add up all the costs of owning a car, does an extra £200-ish per year actually tip the balance from affordable to not?

They are really nice decent guys. I was looking at little fiat 500's for the g/f to buy. They have alot of Alfa's in as they specialise in them and the own has a very cool spider.
As soon as he saw my crappy 147 in the green he wanted to buy it from me. But I might pop down and have a look as I do love the interior of the 166 and the older ones are dirt cheap.
If I ever get a family (When she falls asleep and I get her) then a 166 is definetly on the cards...
