Seems a fair few get mothballed over winter. But agree on lack of posts of late.

Juddery clutch. Hoping that's going to go away.........

ARBs are brilliant though. Car just feels as sweet as anything, a real pleasure to drive.

Cheers,

Well, after replacing my lower wishbones, the uppers are now jealous and have started moaning. I only replaced them two and a half years ago with OEM parts, but I expect the lack of use hasn't helped the situation.
They can wait.....Maud's rear bumper is priority car wise.

Well mine wouldn't start so have had to get the starter motor off. Turns out was the solenoid had it recon'd cost £20 and a days work. Saved hundreds :)

Not used mine much last couple of weeks but did take it down to my local Polish car wash guys for an in and out clean last Sunday as I didn't get time to do it myself.

Got a new company car last week so my wife and kids want to go everywhere in that at the moment (see my post in General motoring called 2 Blue).

Need to get MOT so we'll see how that goes.

Got three 3.2's come in for rebuild this week

GTV 3.2, smoking and previosly poorly rebuilt
156 GTA, head gasket
156 GTA, poor running and previosly poorly rebuilt

Ned

Are 3 litres less prone to head gasket failure?

How many fail after coolant loss be it due to a hose or radiator failure or corrosion?

put michellin PS3 on the front. Feel nice (no decent run yet). Had P Zero Rosso on before, but they were faitly worn.. Interestingly, wear was worse in the centre of the tyre.

May have a blast later. but traffic on saturdays is crazy round here, even on the nice b roads!!!

+ kids need some attention as i have been very busy with work last week, and this is a rare weekend off!

yes, i guess they were over inflated, but i kept pressures at around 32-35 PSI

What are other using here for fron and rear?

I run 36 PSI at the front, and 33 at the rear, as per the handbook, and I get a nice even wear on them. The 156 GTA pressures may be different though.

There's a theory which makes sense to me that it's the engines with pre-cats in as they build up an awful lot of heat in the engine bay. When I park mine up, I can feel a lot of heat coming out as I step out of the door.

I'm curious to know if it happens more to cars that sit in traffic a lot as I would have thought there's less chance of airflow cooling the engine bay.
